Saturday 15 February 2003, the day after Saint Valentine's, was also the day when hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets of London to voice their opposition to military action against Iraq. Influenced by the daily news on the imminent war and with the serious intention of taking part in the demonstration, I created this unusual St. Valentine's Day card, not addressed to my girlfriend (now ex) but to the world's political leaders. Many liked the card and its versatile strength, it became a poster and later in May, it appeared in an anti-war article in Relay, and perhaps was a source of inspiration for a commercial campaign in January 2004.
