This was a challenging project for a cutting-edge artificial intelligence (AI) initiative within the Telecommunications directorate at the European Space Agency (ESA). The client already had a graphic prepared. But it wasn’t really doing the job. What’s more, the logo needed to be adapted to the new ESA brand identity. Working within these parameters, I wanted to create a logo that was modern, dynamic and exciting – reflecting the qualities of the Elaine mission.

The logo needed to be simplified while highlighting the AI aspect (satellite orbit around the AI) and introducing a futuristic, technological look and feel. The name ‘Elaine’ takes centre stage, representing the AI brain at the centre of network data.
